Teen "Dream On Hold" Advice

This week I'm going to talk about dreams on hold. You're probably thinking like "dream on hold?" yes, I'm going to elaborate on how my dream is currently on hold — every Friday new upload. Don't forget to subscribe to our email list just in case, so you don't miss an upload. Anyways let's get on with this topic!

So basically I was about 13 years old I was at the beginning of I think 7th grade. I was a geek. I freaking loved computers and fascinated by how it works. I was so interested in coding and stuff. So I was on youtube looking up computer information, apps, and things in that niche. So basically, during the holy month of Ramadan (Muslims fast for 30 days. We can't eat until sunset. We stop eating before sunrise.) So during that time, I would stay up during the night, and I would eat, and during the night, my creative juice is flowing. So I got a composition book, and I started pretty much-brainstorming apps and invention that would fix a real-world problem or make something that would entertain people. Not to like to boost my ego or anything, I was a creative and smart kid. At the age of 14-years-old, kids are playing games, and I'm trying to create a difference in the world and make millions of dollars. So I learned about the IOS app developing I took courses and research about it. I learned so much. The best part I love about myself is that I implement things I learn in my life instead of like learning and never implement things into life. For me to create my first app, I needed to buy a MacBook, the reason being the app Xcode was only available on Mac. So basically, I pitched my dad and grandpa about apps and showed them that I could do it. I showed them videos on youtube that the kids on TED TALK did it and that I could do it. So they understood, and my grandfather told my dad to go to best buy and get me my mac.

Speed up about one year and a half. After trial and tabulations. I created my first IOS game called "Dodging Dolphin." At this point in time, I was high off life. I created my first game that people can download and play — the best part I can get paid off this. So I was now in 8th grade at that time. I about to turn 14 years old. My birthday was on December 20. My father and my oldest brother came to my middle school and told them about me and about my app. So a couple of days when I was in homeroom class on the announcement speaker, they said, "We have a special announcement Abdullah Faiez has created a game. His app is on the Apple App Store go download dodging dolphin" At this point, I'm shy AF. I'm like, oh shit; the class is looking at me like I discovered light or something. I'm like a subdued type of person. After that day, everyone in my middle school knew of me. People I never even see in my life would say congratulations — all the time when you get love, its usual to get hate too. So People would like to talk shit about my apps but, I knew how to handle it. So it wasn't a big deal. After getting publicity from school. My dad thought that it would be a good idea to get me an interview. At age 14, being on tv is difficult because it's cringed when you watch it now. After that, I got a lot of downloads and stuff.

After 8th grade promotion that summer I'm telling you, I made so many apps. I made about I think a total of 6 apps. So I was putting out apps getting downloads. So basically, at this point, I have started to notice that the apps aren't getting a lot of money. It was very sad, but that never stopped me. On the apps, I put ads on the bottom and some apps I charged for app purchases. So there was a way to make money but not a lot. So let me get to the point of this essay. Throughout about 10 grade summer, I had a total of 8 apps out on the market. Out of 8 apps, I made a total of I think if I remember correctly about $400. That the worst ROI (return on investment) the reason being the app store charges $100 every year, and I did it for about three and a half years. Not to mention, I told my dad I would pay him back for the MacBook. The MacBook cost my dad about $1,199.00 and other things needed. So let's estimate it about a total of $1,700.00. So basically, I'm in debt because I need to pay my dad back. It wouldn't feel right I didn't. So right now currently I no longer have the apps on the app store because looking at the numbers it's not the right time to be invested in apps. So with that being said, I'm invested in a new venture of drop shipping (Basically get products from a wholesaler and marking up the price then sell it.) So right now in that for a while then when the cash flow is good. Trust I'm going to rebrand the company get an LLC and go out with a bang. I am talking about creating a team and just like taking over the app store and, of course, making millions! I think by like senior year, that will be in full effect.

That just a little bit of what my advice is. I hope you enjoyed it. Please comment let me know what you think. Please make sure you tell your friends about my blog. Don't forget to subscribe so you can get updates through your email. I will post every Friday. Thanks for reading, thank you.
